California

For Christmas break we decided that it would be fun to go to California for a few days. Plan of action: go to the beach (multiple beaches) and hit up Disneyland. The first night in California we stayed with Kinsey's aunt Lisa and uncle Jim who live on the beach (and that doesn't mean a mile walk to the beach, it means like 50 feet off the sand!)

The next day we decided to go to Disneyland.

As you can see, we were the only two people that thought that the week before
Christmas would be a great time to go to Disneyland

Disney Castle all winterized

It's a Small World was covered in Christmas lights

Long story short 12 hours at the park and we rode a grand total of 10 rides. . . BLAH!

Still, we had a great time and enjoyed the much needed break from school and work! I would call the trip a success!

"Going Green"

So I decided I hate taking the time to update this blog but I still look at my family's blogs hoping that they posted something new so I guess I can do a quick post.
Since Kinsey and I have been married we have been renting a house from my Dad and Step-Mom. The house is in great condition and they just replaced the carpet so we were excited to make it our own with paint and decorations (well, Kins was concerned about the decorations anyway) :) Our first big project was to re-paint the kitchen. What color was decided on?... GREEN. Definitely not the color I would have chosen first but, after some convincing, I gave in and I am actually quite pleased with how it turned out.

Take a look:

Before pictures (well, sort of, I remembered to do this after we had already started the project):

And some after shots:

(These towels are now a tan color and the red blender
is now a silver one so the kitchen matches better)

What do you think?
